Hello Families,
We had a great week back following fall break. This Thursday, our community meeting was hosted by Kindergarten students who shared their learning about plants and the parts of the plant. We also celebrated our students of the month for the habit of responsibility. Awesome job to all our students of the month!
Upcoming Holiday Events:
We have a lot of fun holiday events and activities planned for the month of December!
- Winter Wonderland Concert and Open House: All PK-2 families, please join us on December 14th from 6-7:30 for our holiday concert and open house. Students need to be dropped off in classrooms by 5:45 to be ready for the start of the concert at 6. Following the concert, families are invited to explore the classrooms to see what your student has been learning, what their day looks like, etc. Cookies will be provided in classrooms for students and their families. See the flier below for more information.
- December 18-21 is Holiday Spirit Week. We invite students and staff PK-2 to show their holiday spirit by dressing up following the themes of the day. See the flier below for details for each day!
- December 21st:
- Trail 100 Celebration: PK families, please join us for the Trail 100 Celebration sponsored by the Trail 100. Santa is coming to town to pass out gifts to each of our PK students. See the flier below for your students’ class time and join us in the library for the party.

Staff of the Week Highlight! |
Each week this year in family communication, we will be highlighting a staff member in the building. If you want, please feel free to send emails, handwritten notes, or letters of encouragement to that staff member.
Analy Gurrola Perez- PK-2 Bilingual Secretary
Analy grew up in Leadville and previously worked in the ELD department here at LCES. She is currently our preschool-2nd grade bilingual secretary. She spends her free time crafting and her dream vacation would be to visit the Maldives. When asked what inspires her she said “My family, the experiences I’ve had, the challenges I’ve overcome and the people I’ve met along the way, all inspire me today.” She lives her life by the saying “Hakuna matata, live without worries, take it easy because sometimes things are out of our hands.” Thank you for all you do for our school, Analy!
Send Ms. Analy an encouraging note at agurrolaperez@lakecountyschools.net
