Cloud City High School Family Newsletter
Dear Cloud City Families,
As we near the end of October and welcome in November, it is hard to believe how quickly the semester is flying by! We have only three weeks of academic instruction remaining before we enjoy our Thanksgiving Break.
School Thanksgiving Lunch
We are excited to invite our students and families to our annual Thanksgiving Lunch on Thursday, November 20th. Please see the attached flyer for details and be sure to submit your reservation soon to join us for this special community event.
As we move toward the end of the semester, we want to remind families about the importance of consistent attendance and the completion of portfolio work in each of your student’s current classes.
Each student is required to complete portfolio artifacts that support the learning standards with accompanying Justifications of Learning Write-ups and to present their work within each enrolled subject area.
** Students who have not completed and presented all six artifacts will receive an “I” (In Progress) instead of a “P” (Proficient) on their report card.
** Those students will need to re-enroll in the same course next semester until proficiency is demonstrated.
If you have any questions about this process, please speak with your child or reach out to their Crew teacher for clarification. These expectations were reviewed during Orientation Conferences in August and again at Parent-Teacher Conferences earlier this fall as part of CCHS pathway to graduation.
Please continue to check Powerhub for updates and messages from your child’s teachers. This is a great way to stay informed and maintain open communication between home and school. Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to help every Cloud City High School student reach their goals. We appreciate your commitment to learning, growth, and community!
