Cloud City High School Family Newsletter
We have completed another week of academics at CCHS, and we appreciate the continued partnership with our families. At this time, we remain concerned about some students’ completion of coursework and their progress toward staying on track for their expected graduation dates. We are also continuing to see a high number of student absences, which directly impacts academic progress.
Parents and guardians of expectant graduates should note that the first graduation progress check will take place on March 25–26. At this time, we have a handful of students who have indicated they would like to graduate in June 2026 but are currently falling behind in meeting the requirements to do so. Regular attendance and consistent coursework/portfolio completion are essential to reaching this goal.
We truly appreciate families communicating with us when a student will be absent. As a reminder, once a student reaches 10 or more absences, a doctor’s note is required for any additional absences.
We would also like to remind everyone of our personal device policy. Recently, we have seen an increase in students reporting that they did not bring a personal device to school or did not turn it in at the office, while also seeing an uptick in students being found with devices during class time. If your child does not come to school with a personal device, please notify their Crew teacher so staff are aware. Students will continue to be reminded that personal devices must be turned in upon arrival.
Parents and guardians, we appreciate your help reinforcing this policy at home and supporting our expectations at school. If you ever have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are grateful for the continued support and partnership we share with our CCHS families and students.
