Panther Spotlight
This month’s Panther Spotlight is LCHS Special Education Teacher Kevin Teesdale, or Mr. T as he is affectionately known. Mr. T’s love for his students is visible and present. He constantly balances high expectations with high support. One of the best things he does is help his students earn cool field trips, such as to the Denver Aquarium. Parents and students alike have so many wonderful things to say about Mr. T and the contributions he makes in their lives. Thanks for being awesome, Kevin!

March Updates
Improving Student Outcomes: This month I will report to the Board of Education on our mid-year academic data as well as on the results of our second annual staff culture survey. We are seeing progress in both areas!
Strategic Plan: This was a very busy month as we completed the deep work of developing the implementation plan for the district’s new strategic directions (Pursuing Educational Excellence, Enhancing Student Experience and Expanding Family & Community Collaboration). The implementation plan provides the “how,” a critical guide to make sure we stay on track. We have new videos summarizing the work to date. Check it out! English | Spanish
School Merge: In the summer of 2026, we will consolidate our school campuses from four to three. Thank you to everyone who attended one of our school consolidation information sessions and tours this week! This presentation provides an overview of what is happening, and why the district is making these changes. Construction in the LCES library will happen over spring break! You can also read our Q&A about school consolidation and submit any questions in English or Spanish.
