CCHS News and Announcements
Dear CCHS Families,
We are thrilled to welcome you to the final stretch of this school year. Here are some important updates and reminders for the upcoming weeks:
Graduation Preparations:
All graduating seniors should have completed all necessary steps to participate in the graduation ceremony as of 4:00pm on Thursday, May 30th (TODAY!). Please refer to the attached schedule for graduation week details.
Career Experience Options for Students:
During the last two weeks of school, students have signed up for various career experiences. Here are the options students have chosen.
In-School Activities:
- Art and Woodworking:
These sessions are led by LCHS instructors and are at Lake County High School.
- Academic Support:
Students can work with teachers to catch up on any work or missing assignments. These days and times will be scheduled individually.
- Job Shadowing and College Classes:
Some students are job shadowing at Climax Mine.
Others are taking classes through Colorado Mountain College (CMC).
- Internships:
Students participating in internships will have a different schedule and will work directly with Mrs. Kerrigan. These students need to turn in weekly timesheet evaluations.
Attendance Requirements
- All students (except those in internships) need to be at school by 8:30 AM each day for the entire day.
- Internship students should coordinate their schedules with Mrs. Kerrigan.
Communication
- Please discuss with your child to understand what activities they have chosen. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to the school.
We are excited about these opportunities for our students to gain valuable experiences and look forward to a successful conclusion to the school year.

| Senior Walk (Stephanie will attend this and take photos) 8:30 am – Meet at LCHS cafeteria, Mr. McFee picks up graduates, walk to LCIS 8:45 am – arrive at LCIS 9:00 am – leave for LCES, walking on the mineral belt 9:20 am – arrive at LCES 9:45 am – walk to Harrison Ave, then to Bright Start and DO on W 5th street 10:00 am – arrive back at CCHS Cafeteria 10:00 am – Breakfast for CCHS graduates You must attend graduation practice (12:00pm on June 6th) if you are going to participate in graduation on June 8th Motorcade 6:15 pm Meet in the LCHS East parking lot (off 4th Street) 6:30 pm Motorcade Motorcade Route here |
