LCES Families,
Thank you so much for taking the time to join us for Parent-Teacher Conferences this week. We truly value your partnership and hope you were able to gain helpful insight into your child’s progress and see the meaningful learning happening in their classroom.
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of celebrating our HOWL of perseverance during a community meeting led by our 2nd grade students. It was wonderful to see their learning about insects come to life, and we are so proud of their hard work. Congratulations as well to our Students of the Month!

Looking ahead, classroom group photos will take place next Thursday, April 2. Please note that these are group photos only, no individual pictures will be taken. The flier is included below to order a photo from LifeTouch.
We hope you have a wonderful and restful weekend, and we look forward to welcoming students back on Monday.

April HOWL (Habit of Work & Learning) Focus: Curiosity
For the month of April, we are celebrating the HOWL of curiosity. Curiosity means, “I can explore new ideas by asking questions and seeking answers about the world around me.” The Student of the Month for each crew will be announced at our next community meeting on April 30th. If your student is chosen by their teacher, we will reach out at the beginning of that week to let you know!

Semester 2 Attendance Challenge:
The semester 2 attendance challenge is here! This semester, K-2 students who have 1 or fewer absences will have the opportunity to attend a Rockies baseball game in Denver at Coors Field on May 20th! We will be checking attendance from Jan 5th-April 30th to see who qualifies. Families will be notified if your student has earned this opportunity the week of May 4th. Students may opt out of attending if parents so choose (Opt out deadline: May 6th). As the event gets closer, we will share more details so check this section regularly for updates! Please note LCIS is doing an attendance reward at this Rockies game as well so please look for specific information from LCIS in their parent communication as the criteria is slightly different between schools. Make sure your student is present at school every day as long as they are healthy in order to earn this opportunity! We are so excited for this special event!
HOWLs Q3 Challenge: Mrs. Lovely and Ms. Rapke had so much fun tie-dying shirts with the Q3 HOWLs winners on Thursday this week!

The Center Specifics
Dear Center Families,
It was great to see families attending our Parent Teacher Conferences. We know these events and early dismissal cause a little bit of disruption to the routine but having the time to discuss and celebrate your child’s progress is so important to our partnership. Thank you for taking the time!
Enrollment for 2026-2027 is now open. All families received information at conferences regarding enrollment for next year and either transitioning into Kindergarten or re-enrolling in our preschool program. All families who would like to return to preschool next year need to complete an application. We provided one for you. We also have a fillable PDF version on our website.
You can return completed applications to the main office or your child’s teacher. You can also email completed applications to tdlenhard@lakecountyschools.net or mamartinez@lakecountyschools.net .
We are also hosting two Round Up events to support families with the 26/27 enrollment process.. The first is on Tuesday March 31 from 5-7 at the Preschool entrance. Come down and see us!
Please help us spread the word, if you know of any families that have an interest in preschool for next year, send them our way! Children must be 3 or 4 by October 1st to be eligible for our programming.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend, see you Monday!
