“Nature’s Educators” Field Expert Visit to WPE!
Today two animal experts came to West Park Elementary with their animal friends to teach us even more about animals as pollinators (2nd grade), birds and their attributes (1st grade) and animals as living things (kindergarten). From the Colorado-based group, Nature’s Educators, these animal friends traveled to teach us more about our EL modules of study. Students got to see in person a snake, rabbit, starling, screech-owl, pigeon, quail, and a turkey vulture in addition to many animal features! We are so grateful to GOL! for the funding and coordination for this special field expert visit! Our students were very respectful and curious. They impressed the presenters with their depth of knowledge gained from our EL ELA modules and labs this year.
