2025-2026 Preschool Application Now Open
The Center Preschool is excited to announce we are currently accepting applications for the upcoming 2025-2026 School Year!
The Center Preschool, located at the Lake County Elementary School, has been a vibrant part of quality education here in Leadville for many years. The Center is committed to providing the best Preschool Programs possible while keeping those programs as affordable as possible for Lake County Families. We are able to achieve this goal by working with several agencies such as Head Start, Colorado Universal Preschool, and other Grantor Agencies which all help greatly in offsetting tuition costs.
Please note the following programs offered at The Center for the 2025-2026 School Year:
Head Start is a federally-funded free Preschool Program serving those families who qualify under guidelines related to income thresholds. Children must be either three or four years old by October 1, 2025 to be considered for this program.
Universal Preschool Program (UPK) is a state-funded Preschool Program offering a credit of at least 15 hours of Preschool per week to the family of any child who will be four years old by October 1, 2025. Additional hours may be awarded to a family based on other qualifying factors. Some UPK funding is available for younger children, as available.
Tuition-Based Preschool is offered as space is available to children who are at least 30 months old by August 1, 2025. Discounts are given for multiple children enrolled in the program.
Preschool Services for Children with Special Needs are provided at The Center to children who qualify under state guidelines for these additional services. Please contact The Center if you have any concerns regarding your child’s development.
Preschool Hours at The Center run Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The Center can also accommodate Extended Hour Schedules as needed by providing care from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
