LCES Families,
Happy Homecoming week at Lake County School District! We hope your student enjoyed themselves this week, either dressing up in purple & gold, or having crazy hair day. We loved to see all the creativity and Panther Pride!

Thursday we had a pep rally with the high school cheerleaders, band, and senior athletes. The Panther mascot is always a big hit with our littles!

Parent teacher conferences are NEXT WEEK, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, October 15 and 16. Here is the link to sign up for a conference time to meet with your child’s teacher: https://pickatime.com/client?ven=11618553&event=407792. Please note, these two conference days are half days of school, with dismissal beginning at 11:00am. Please communicate with the front office your child’s transportation plans as Project Dream will not be offered these two days.
Happy Homecoming week and Go Panthers! We look forward to welcoming families into the building next week at parent teacher conferences!

The District Accountability Committee (DAC) is organizing a potluck dinner for one night of conferences, Wednesday, October 15. We warmly invite all LCSD parents/families and community members to contribute what you can. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference and help us celebrate our dedicated teachers. If you bring a dish in a container that is not disposable, please plan to pick up this container no later than 7:30pm. We will send more detailed instructions closer to the date for everyone who signs up!
This is our only Parent-Teacher Conference potluck event for the entire year—we appreciate your help!

The Center Specifics
Hi Families!
We had a fun filled Homecoming Spirit week! I loved seeing kids dressed for the theme days.
Parent teacher conferences are NEXT WEEK, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, October 15 and 16. Here is the link to sign up for a conference time to meet with your child’s teacher: https://pickatime.com/client?ven=11618553&event=407792.
We also sent a QR code in your yellow folders. Teachers are prepared to share progress with you and discuss how the year is going for you and your child so far.
Please note that we close early at 11:00 both Wednesday October 15 and Thursday October 16. For bus families, please remember that there are NO afternoon routes on these two days, all children must be picked up at the program by 11:00.
When you arrive for your scheduled parent teacher conference, please enter through the preschool entrance, we will have a check-in table there.
Take a minute to check out our lost and found bin. It gets full pretty quickly and you may have some missing items you didn’t know were missing!
Next week, we continue our focus on Classic Tales. Classrooms will be reading “Goldilocks and the Three Bears.” Children will also be making and tasting “porridge.”
Enjoy your weekend, we will see you Monday!

Family Engagement Corner

Hello, Center Families!
Hope all is going well as you enjoy these (quickly passing) beautiful Fall Days!
Please take note of the following information regarding some
Family Friendly Resources located in our entrance area.
Please check these areas frequently and let us know if you have any questions or ideas you feel would benefit The Center and our AWESOME FAMILIES!

- Our “Leave One, Take One” Sharing Library: And, please do just that! Take one home – bring one in to share! What a great way to share books with a new family and get a new book for yours!
- The Little Free Pantry: Please feel free to take what you may need from this pantry. This is available for all of our families and a great way to support each other. If you would like to contribute to the pantry, please do – but this is not a requirement in order to take what you need. What a great way to help others!
- Important Information: Please pay attention to the information displayed in our entrance area. This will help make sure you do not miss any important information or fun activities.
- Lost and Found: Pretty self-explanatory. Haha!
- Parent Corner: Check out this area for helpful information on parenting and, also, some fun activities you can do at home!
- White Board Messages: Again, please pay attention to the information on our entrance white board. We don’t want anyone to miss out on all that we do here at The Center!
