Changes for LCIS 3rd Grade
Hello LCIS Families of 3rd Graders,
We have some exciting changes coming to our third grade classrooms for the spring semester. We’ve had many of our virtual 3rd grade students return to the classroom and therefore, Mr. Hanger will be back in the classroom teaching in person!
The addition of Mr. Hanger will involve some of our students switching from their current core teachers, Ms. Page or Mrs. Hanger, to be with Mr. Hanger. All students who will join Mr. Hanger’s cohorts have been contacted by the school to discuss this change.
We have also been able to design a schedule that allows Mrs. Hanger to provide extra academic support to students during the afternoon. If your child will be included in this cohort, you should have been contacted by the school to discuss this exciting opportunity. This additional support will be offered through March 18, the start of our spring break. When we return to school after spring break, Mrs. Hanger will offer support to a new group of students.
The addition of the academic support group in the afternoon will require a slight shuffling of afternoon cohorts. These cohorts will still remain small with 12 to 13 students in them.
We are so excited about this new change. Please feel free to reach out to Cheryl Talbot, principal at LCIS, with any questions.
Have a wonderful winter break. We look forward to seeing you all on January 4th, 2021!
