The Center Specifics
Hi Families!
Thanks for a fun week! Kids in costumes whether it is playing or trick or treating is always sure to bring a smile. There were plenty of smiles to go around.
We ask that families always use The Center’s main entrance to enter or exit the building. Our side doors are for use by staff only. Please do not use these exits, but go out our main doors. We appreciate your attention to this, it is the best way to keep our building safe and secure.
Our classrooms have been learning about Families and Communities. Preschoolers are discussing and counting the members in their family. We are also working on making connections with things that occur at home like chores, types of houses families live in, and family traditions. One of the fun opportunities with this domain is pretend birthday party play in our dramatic play centers. Birthday parties are a fun way to play and a good connection to traditions.
Another weekend is here, Happy Halloween! See you Monday!

From the Assistant Director
Hello Families,
Another great week here at The Center.
Please remember when dropping off your child/picking them up that you are signing them in and out on the sign in sheets. If you are using the door bell to gain access, please remember to push the button until you hear it click. That is the only way we can hear the bell from the office to know someone is here waiting.
November tuition fees were posted to your child’s account yesterday. Payments are due by November 1st. If you are having issues with Powerhub to make your payment online, please let me know.
Please remember to label all items for your child with first and last name.
If your child rides the bus please make sure to call 719-486-6890 or 719-427-7075, for any bus changes.
Have a great weekend!

Family Engagement Corner
Continuing with our theme “Kids in the Kitchen,” there is a new set of Kitchen Vocabulary Works below. Have fun with this activity! Maybe ask your child what the item is and how it is used in the kitchen or you could have your child pick one of the items and then go and find it in your kitchen. Again, learning the name of an item and its function in the kitchen is a great way for them to gain confidence and be prepared for some KITCHEN FUN!
There are copies of all of the “Kids in the Kitchen” flyers in The Center Parent Corner located just inside the preschool area to the left of the double glass doors. Feel free to pick-up this information to display and use at home.
In our next newsletter, we will be looking at how to make a grocery store list with your child and then have them help you shop for those items. How FUN!
