Staff training highlight: Initiating a Culturally Responsive Dialogue

This week, all K-12 staff and the Board of Education participated in a training given by the Colorado Department of Education’s Office of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education called “Initiating a Culturally Responsive Dialogue. ” Preschool staff and all other departments will receive this training in January. This session explores culture and diversity as it applies to educators and education. Participants explore the influence of culture in the education system and on individual identity development as it relates to students, schools and districts.
