Fourth Grade Field Experience
LCSD fourth graders went on a field expedition to Ski Cooper today. With our community partners of Ski Cooper and the US Forest Service, our students focused on the sub-alpine ecosystem. Students visited 8 different stations where they learned about different animals at each location. The students had guided walks from station to stations with different biologists pointing out different adaptations of species in the wild. The US Forest Service donated their time to lead this field experience. Ski Cooper allowed us to use their facility for lunches and bathrooms. We are proud of the strong work in connecting our learners to their environment in such a dynamic, educational experience. What a beautiful classroom!
