6th grade learn about pollinators with the Soil Conservation District
Our 6th graders recently participated in the Soil Conservation District Poster Contest “Local Heroes: Your Hardworking Pollinators.” The students spent time learning about the different types of pollinators, and the plants they pollinate. Students demonstrated their learning by creating a poster that was judged by The Soil Conservation District. Twelve winners were chosen, the top three earned a cash award. The winners are represented here, along with Ray Dawson, and Kevin Cannell. First place was awarded to Jocilyn Holbrook, 2nd place to Emily Romero, and third place to Diana Soto. Honorable mentions were: Liliana Olave, Desaree Pedregon, Brenna Allen, Julissa Chavez, and Jude Hill.
