Winter Weather & Staying in Touch

Hello LCSD families! As the cold and snow become ever more present in Leadville, we want to remind you about how we will communicate with you if we ever need to alter school schedules due to weather. Note that there are no plans right now to change any school schedules, and school will always remain open at the normal hours unless you hear from us. If we ever need to alter a schedule or close school, these are the steps we will take:

1. We will send parents/guardians a voice mail, text and email notification via PowerSchool as soon as any schedule changes or closures are decided. It is critically important that we have your up to date contact info in PowerSchool, so please see your school front office if anything has changed.
2. We will contact all appropriate news media outlets.
3. We will post changes and closures on our website and Facebook page.
4. We will initiate our staff phone trees so that all LCSD employees are notified.
