Notice of Drop-off and Pick-up Change for K-6 students attending 2nd Day Supports Program with 100 Elk Outdoor Center for Thursday, Sept. 10
Due to cold and wintry weather, student drop off for the 2nd Day Supports Program with 100 Elk Outdoor Center will be different tomorrow (Thursday, September 10th).
West Park Elementary: Student drop off and pick-up will be at the doors about 50 feet west (left as you look at the building) of the main entrance. Please reach out to 719-293-5363 with questions.
Lake County Intermediate School: Student drop off and pick-up will be the same location as on school days. Students will walk from the drop-off site up the stairs to the gym doors. Please reach out to 719-293-5169 with questions.
Drop off time is still from 7:45am-8am at both locations.
Note: Attendance is not required, students are welcome to complete their school work from home if preferred.
Warm Clothing Reminder
The plan is for students to be outside most of the day, even if it’s cold, snowy, or rainy. PLEASE make sure they come prepared to be outside, regardless of weather.
What to Bring:
- 1 School backpack
- 1 water bottle, filled
- 1 pair sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Sunscreen lip balm
- 1 mask (mask, buff, bandana)
- Hand sanitizer
- 1 rain jacket or poncho
- 1 sun hat (baseball hat, hiking hat, etc)
- 1 pair athletic shoes
- School supplies & assignments
- Any medications your student is approved to carry themselves (such as inhalers or epi pens)
- 1 winter jacket
- 1 pair snow pants
- 1 warm hat
- 1 pair mittens/gloves
- 1 pair snow boots
- 1 extra pair of socks
