Our sympathy goes out to Uvalde, Texas

Our hearts are broken to hear of the tragedy that has occurred in a school district in Uvalde, Texas yesterday. The cowardly act of targeting the most vulnerable and innocent of a community is devastating and raises our level of concern for our own children, friends and loved ones.

In response, Leadville P.D. has already taken immediate action to increase presence at all Lake County School District facilities today and through the coming weeks. We appreciate their quick and responsive action. In addition, we will continue our dedication to our safety practices and protocols we have in place including holding firm to secure entry and exit of buildings.
