Watching the Boys’ Basketball Games
Lake County High School’s boys basketball team has the opportunity this weekend to do something that hasn’t happened in 20 years- win a regional game! They have the home court advantage on Friday AND Saturday, if they win on Friday.
We encourage all of our community to come out and cheer them on, but if you are unable to come in person, there is a way to watch the game online. All the games this weekend will be streamed on NFHS.com. NFHS does require a subscription to watch. From the home page, search for Lake County High School, Leadville, CO, and you should see the first round game against Meeker. It is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm on Friday.
The schedule is Lake County v Meeker- Friday at 5:30 pm, Yuma v Bayfield- Friday at 7 pm, and the Winner of Game #1 v the Winner of Game #2- Saturday at 1 pm.
Entry into the game is $8 for adults and $5 for students (including Lake County students) and seniors (60 and older). For that ticket price, you can watch both games on Friday, but it will cost another entry fee to attend the game on Saturday.
LET’S GO PANTHERS!!
