Apology from LCHS Principal regarding play preview (5/11/23)

Dear LCSD Families and Community,

I need to apologize on behalf of our Performing Arts Department. Unfortunately, Thursday afternoon, one of our performers had an accidental “hot mic” after leaving the stage and used the “F” word backstage, not realizing the mic was on. This was during our Elementary and Intermediate school sneak preview of The Sound of Music. Some of our youngsters may have heard this inappropriate language at the tail end of the performance. We all make mistakes, we will learn from this one, and apologize for this and will work to ensure that it doesn’t happen again.
