2 hour Delay on Jan. 21st Due to Extreme Weather
Dear LCSD Families:
Student and staff safety is always our top priority. Based on the recommendation of the Lake County Office of Emergency Management, and in light of forecast wind chills of -30 tomorrow morning at 7am, all Lake County Schools and programs will begin two hours late on Tuesday, January 21st. Students will be allowed into the buildings beginning at 9:30 am.
Students riding buses should be at their bus stops two hours after their normal pick-up times. Please see special notes for preschool families and CMC students below.
We understand that a delayed start is disruptive to families and we have not made this decision lightly. We respect the input of our partners in emergency management, and will do everything we can to make tomorrow as normal as possible for students once they arrive.
Buses and after school activities are scheduled to run as normal. We will contact you if there are any changes for the afternoon.
Please stay safe and warm!
Lake County School District
