LCSD Senior recognition and lunch, Aug 1

Dear parents of a Lake County High School senior,

Congratulations! You’ve made it through 12+ years with us at LCSD and we, too, are very proud of your child! To kick off your child’s senior year, we are inviting seniors (and their immediate family) who have been in our district continuously since at least kindergarten to a back to school lunch with our staff.

We would like to recognize these seniors in front of all of our staff, many who may have been teachers, cooks, bus drivers, custodians, support staff, or worked with your child in other ways through the years. While it gives us the time to celebrate your child’s accomplishments, it also excites and encourages our staff reminding them of the meaning and value of their work each day. This will be the first time we add this kickoff celebration of seniors to our annual staff lunch, and I think it will be a special moment for all of us. The luncheon will be held at Lake County Elementary School Lake County High School (location changed) on August 1st at 11:30. We will have a 30 minute celebration where we recognize seniors in attendance and also this is where we give out our annual “Staff of the Year” awards. This celebration will last about 30 minutes after which time we will enjoy a fajita lunch together as the conclusion of the event.

We are sending the invitation and survey link to sign up for this event to qualifying seniors (those with continuous enrollment at LCSD since Kindergarten) to your child’s email address. However, it can also be accessed here: https://forms.gle/dushYh8xdjDj3sBUA. If you and/or your senior are able to attend, we are requesting an RSVP by July 19th. We are also asking seniors consider submitting a story of a proud moment from their time in the district. This might be a story about an event, a special teacher who made a difference, or a meaningful award or activity that you participated in. Thank you for your consideration of participation and congratulations on this monumental event for your family.

Sincerely,
Bethany Massey
