Project Dream Denver Zoo Visit on Friday, November 10th

Please carefully review all of the information below regarding the Project Dream visit to the Denver Zoo tomorrow (November 10).

General Information

  • All Parent Volunteers must sign-up with the school’s Site Supervisor prior to Friday as we need to have an accurate count of the total number of students and adults attending. Parent volunteers may ride the bus with us this year.
  • Entrance tickets are free for all Project Dream students and Parent Volunteers. If you plan to bring a child that is not in Project Dream programs, you will need to purchase a ticket for that child. Any child who is not in Project Dream is not able to ride the bus with us. Entrance fees can be found here:
  • If you are driving separately, please meet our buses by entering through the zoo’s main entrance on 23rd Avenue at Steele St. Once you enter, follow signage to the designated drop-off location. Our group will need to enter through Gate 1.
  • A detailed schedule for Parent Volunteers will be provided on Friday.
  • Please have your student wear their tie-dye Project Dream shirt.

There is no bus transportation to/from home on Friday
8:10amBuses load first at LCIS then go to LCES to load

10:30-2:00pmVisit the Denver Zoo
A school lunch will be provided
2:30pmBuses depart the Denver Zoo
5:00pmParent pick-up at LCES/LCIS
There is no bus transportation to/from home on Friday

  • Backpack
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Tennis shoes (no sandals)
  • $10-$20 – If students wish to purchase a snack while at the zoo, we will not be allowing students to purchase souvenirs from the store while with us.
