Dear Room 2 Families:
I hope you are having a good snowy Wednesday. I first want to acknowledge that this has been a difficult year for staffing in Room 2 as we have had several teacher transitions. We support teachers moving on to different roles in the district, and this can create challenges if we need to replace them mid-year. You and your children have been incredibly patient as we have weathered several of these transitions.
You are likely aware that both of our current Room 2 teachers have been out this week. Kelly Horning, our Assistant Director of Education, has been supporting in Room 2 along with members of our management staff. Because of this, and because we want to be prepared to hold thoughtful parent-teacher conferences with you, we’d like to postpone those conferences until the week of April 22. This means we will cancel Room 2 conferences for this Thursday and Friday.
Again we apologize for the disruptions in consistency for Room 2 children this year. We are doing our best to minimize such disruptions going forward, and to continue to improve our practices around transition and communication when they do occur.

Estimadas Familias de Salón 2:
Espero que tengas un buen miércoles de nieve. Primero quiero reconocer que este ha sido un año difícil para los empleo de personal en el Salón 2, ya que hemos tenido varias transiciones de maestras. Apoyamos a las maestras que pasan a diferentes roles en el distrito, y esto puede crear desafíos si necesitamos reemplazarlos a mediados del año. Usted y sus niños han sido increíblemente pacientes, ya que hemos capeado varias de estas transiciones.
Probablemente estén al tanto de que nuestras dos maestras actuales del Salón 2 han estado fuera esta semana. Kelly Horning, nuestra Asistente Directora de Educación, ha estado brindando apoyo en la sala 2 junto con los miembros de nuestro personal administrativo.
Debido a esto, y porque deseamos estar preparados para celebrar con usted conferencias reflexivas entre padres y maestras, nos gustaría posponer esas conferencias hasta la semana del 22 de abril. Esto significa que cancelaremos las conferencias del Salón 2 para este jueves y viernes.
