Reminder: Evacuation Drill Planned for Wednesday, 4/25

Dear Lake County School District families and community: On Wednesday, April 25th, Lake County High School students and staff will participate in a lockdown and evacuation drill in partnership with several law enforcement agencies. The drill will take place between 1:15-3:35pm. High school students will not be released during this time. Other schools will be on a soft lockout during the drill, but will otherwise proceed with normal operations. We have been planning this drill for several months and want to thank the Lake County Office of Emergency Management, Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Leadville Police Department, in particular, for their partnership. Lake County Road & Bridge, Lake County Public Health and agencies from surrounding counties will also be participating.
