Graduation Information. Congratulations Class of 2020!
Dear Lake County Community,
This has been a crazy time for our students and schools. We know lots of people have faced real hardship. While we don’t want to minimize that, we think it’s important to acknowledge how hard this has been on the class of 2020 and their families. We did not get to have the spring musical, spring sports, prom or a traditional graduation. These are important events and milestones for students.
While this has not been a normal spring, we are proud and grateful for how our community has stepped up to support our seniors. I hope you have enjoyed the yard signs and the photos of the students up downtown. Please thank Sarah Dallas and Mayor Labbe from the city for the signs and Amy Tait for organizing the yard signs. We will also celebrate our seniors with a motorcade through town starting from the high school at 6pm. More information and maps of the route can be found here. Remember to stay safe and to social distance during this event.
Here is a link to a video (In English) video (In Spanish) that celebrates the senior class and their accomplishments. It contains many of the elements of class day and graduation, including a list of the scholarships our students have received. I am continually amazed at how our community, through local scholarships, supports our students. I am especially grateful to the legacy foundation for their continued generosity giving every graduate $2000 towards their future education. Here is the link that will tell you when various students are graduation. Here is the link to watch graduation on Zoom. We will also record it and post it later as well as make the photos from graduation publically available. Lastly, public places in Lake County our still closed for our community’s safety. We ask that you all celebrate these amazing young people at home so our community and town can stay safe.
We are so thankful to our community, graduates and their families. We hope you enjoy this unique ceremony and virtual celebration.
