After School Program Offerings

The following programs will be offered during After School – Project Dream on select days. Program offerings are subject to change based on enrollment and staffing. After-school Project Dream requires registration only for the program as a whole (piano as an exception). Students will choose or be placed in programs daily depending on student need, input, and capacity of programs.

Daily Virtual Club

New this school year a daily virtual club will be offered for any student who wishes to join in a virtual setting. Daily virtual offerings will be coming soon.

Artrepreneurship 

Description: Students will have the opportunity to design, create, market, and sell a product by learning about new technologies and partnering with local businesses and artists. Through this club students will express their creativity, learn new skills and create connections in the community.

Art Club

Description: Students looking to express their creative selves during after school hours will love our Art Club! A variety of mediums from painting to pottery will be offered depending on the day and school.

Bagpipes

Description: In this classic club students will learn to play the traditional wind instrument. Students will begin learning with a practice chanter, which is a small oboe-like instrument by learning the fingering and grace-noting system required to play bagpipe tunes.

Bookworms/Book Scholars

Description: Both of these literacy programs meet students where they are and offer additional support in literacy skills through small group interventions and blended learning. If we believe your child would be a good fit for this program, you will be contacted directly. Parents may also request for their child to be enrolled in this program.

Bravo! Vail Piano Lessons

Description: Learning music at a young age can promote creativity, improve academic performance, encourage responsibly, and build self-esteem. Our very own music teachers offer weekly group classes geared towards teaching the fundamentals of instrument training, musical concepts, performance skills, and reading music.

Semester: fall and spring, Mondays 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm

Requirements:  Only 4 absences allowed per year and 1 hour of practice outside of class per week. Keyboards are available for rent.  

Maximum number of students: Beginners: 8 ; Advanced: 24 Tuition fee:  $125 per year, half and full scholarships available

Cooking Club with C4

Description: Once a week at each school C4 staff will run a healthy cooking class. Students will learn how to cook awesome meals with locally grown fresh produce!

Destination Imagination

Description: Destination Imagination teaches “21st century” skills and STEM principles to students by collaborative problem solving challenges.

Gay Straight Alliance

Description: This club is student-led and student-organized with our in-school Guidance Counselor as the facilitator. It aims to create a safe, welcoming, and accepting school environment for all youth, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

GOL! Adventure Club 

Description: In this outdoor-based club students will have the opportunity to experience a variety of outdoor activities including: snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, biking, and hiking. Students will get their fill of nature each day as they explore and enjoy the world around them!

Green Team

Description: This team is responsible for the recycling and composting programs at each school. Students will learn how to compost and recycle with their team and assure recycling tasks are carried out each week.

Lego Robotics

Description: This club will be offered once per week and will allow students creativity and imagination through learning about mechanisms in Robotics. Students will build and code during this club while using their creative minds.

Mathletes

Description: This club meets students where they are and offer additional support in math skills in a blended learning, small-group setting. Music and Movement

Description: In this club, students will be moving and grooving! Activities will range from dancing to playing musical instruments. It is a club where students get to move around and have tons of fun!

Stop Motion Animation

Description: In this club, students will practice their videography skills with a highly-talented instructor. Stop Motion includes animating and editing videos while creating video sets. This techie club will teach students skills that can be applied to many careers later in life.

Theater

Description: Students will be able to practice and expand upon their acting skills through theater programs held at the various schools. Types of programs will be dependent on the school.

Description: Students will create and design their school’s yearbook using technology and creativity!

Yoga

Description: Yoga combines physical exercises, mental meditation, and breathing techniques to strengthen the muscles and relieve stress. Students will stretch and breathe after a full day of school in this active yet relaxing club.
