Happy Holidays from LCSD!
Dear LCSD Families, Staff and Partners:
As 2025 comes to a close, I want to express my gratitude for what each of you has brought to our district this year. Whether you have spent long hours preparing lessons for our students, read at home with your children, or supported one of our community initiatives, I see you and I am thankful.
It is not an easy time for many in our community and our world, and public schools are certainly not free from these pressures and challenges. Every day, I believe it is my job to provide as much support and empathy as possible to everyone who walks through our doors, while also holding high expectations for how we treat each other and what we expect of our schools. Some days I think I do a good job maintaining this balance, other days I see all the ways I need to keep working to improve myself as a leader.
On good days and hard days, know that I could not be more appreciative of everyone who is walking this journey with us. Little by little, we are making progress.
Wishing you and your family all the best for the holiday season and 2026!
Kate
