Preschool Enrollment for 2015-16 Now Open
The Center’s Open Enrollment for the 2015-2016 School Year is currently underway. The Center Early Childhood Programs is accepting applications for enrollment in all preschool programs. Families are encouraged to apply now for fall enrollment. Spots are assigned as space is available and children may be placed on a wait list once all programs are full.
Preschool programs include Head Start, Colorado Preschool Program, tuition-based preschool, and services for children with special needs. Preschool runs from Monday through Thursday during the hours of 9:30am to 1:30pm. The Center is also open additional hours, Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 5:30pm for extended quality child care time.
The research-based curriculum used at The Center prepares children for kindergarten through activities designed to promote growth across all domains of learning. These domains include language, literacy, math, science, art, social studies, approaches to learning, social-emotional relations, logic and reasoning, and fine and gross motor physical development. The curriculum provides systematic instruction in these areas in a fun environment, and follows up with assessment on each child to address individual learning strengths and needs. The Center’s highly-qualified instructional staff meet federal requirements for early childhood education degrees and certification attainment.
Head Start is a federally-funded free preschool program. Children must be 3 or 4 by October 1, 2015 and families must qualify under federal income guidelines. Transportation is limited.
Colorado Preschool Program is a state-funded free preschool program based on educational needs. Children must be 3 or 4 by October 1, 2015.
Tuition-based preschool is offered as space is available on a first-come, first-served basis to children who are at least three years old.
Services for children with special needs are provided to children who qualify under state guidelines for these additional services.
