School Closure Extended through April 30th
Good afternoon,
We wanted to send a quick update today after Governor Polis’ press conference this afternoon regarding extension school closure.
Per his orders today, we will be extending the closure of our schools through the 30th of April. While we would rather be back in school and back to “normal” and we are missing our students, we want to encourage you to continue to take care of yourselves and practice social distancing.
We will continue with the learning plans that have been put in place. The Center, West Park and LCIS will continue to provide packets to be sent home. We will continue to send information out to you about distribution plans. Grades K-6 learning packet/materials pick up will again be held from 8am-4pm on Monday, April 13th in the front of LCIS. More information on the pick-up details will come out from the buildings. High school students (7th-12th grades) will continue to work on their online learning with teachers. Please continue to reach out to your child’s CREW teacher or school office if you have any questions or concerns.
On our official school calendar, we do not have school scheduled for Friday, April 10th or Monday, April 13th. We will follow those closures with the exception of meal deliveries. Students are not expected to complete learning activities on these two days. Meal deliveries will continue on these two days: Friday, April 10th and Monday, April 13th.
We will continue to keep you informed during this time as we learn more.
Thank you!
