Dear Panther Families and Guardians,
Welcome back! We hope your family has enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with fun, adventure, and time together. We are incredibly excited to welcome everyone to the new PK-5 Lake County Elementary School for what promises to be an amazing school year!
This year, our school community is united by one shared purpose: #OneTeamForKids. Together, as families, students, staff, and our community, we will work to ensure every child feels safe, supported, challenged, and celebrated every day they walk through our doors.
Our priorities this school year are simple and meaningful:
- Providing a safe and welcoming school for every student
- Supporting academic, social, and emotional growth
- Creating a memorable elementary school experience filled with learning, friendships, and joy
If you have not already done so, please complete your child’s PowerSchool registration and sign up for an Orientation Conference for Wednesday.
Important K-5 reminder: Please have your child bring their backpack to Orientation Conferences!
During your scheduled 15-minute conference, you’ll meet your child’s teacher and have the opportunity to visit several information stations designed to help your family prepare for a successful school year, including:
- Transportation plans
- The LCES House System
- Attendance reminders
- Project Dream
- Social-Emotional Supports
- Community Partners
School pictures will also be taken in the gym during Orientation Conferences.
If you have any questions or need assistance completing registration or scheduling a conference time, please don’t hesitate to contact our front office. We are happy to help!
First Week of School
The first days of school are always exciting and with our new PK-5 school, they’ll be even more special! Please review:
- Drop-off and pick-up map
- Thursday Independence Day & Chalk the Walk celebration fliers below
Our Independence Day event is designed to help students build confidence and independence as they begin the school year. We know saying goodbye can be hard, but encouraging students to walk confidently into school on their own helps create positive routines, supports independence, and allows us to maximize valuable instructional time for all students.
As we welcome more students than ever before, we kindly ask for your patience and grace during arrival and dismissal, especially during the first couple of weeks. We anticipate dismissal may take a little longer as students, families, and staff learn new routines and traffic patterns. We appreciate your understanding as we work together to ensure every child gets home safely.
We cannot wait to welcome our students back into our classrooms! Thank you for partnering with us as we begin this exciting new chapter together. The future is bright, and we are looking forward to an incredible year of learning, growth, and unforgettable memories.
Here’s to a fantastic year together!
#OneTeamForKids
See you soon,
Brandi Lovely, PK-2 Principal
