Dear LCES Families and Guardians,

The countdown is almost over, our first day of school is Monday, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome everyone back! This school year is especially meaningful as we open the doors to our brand-new PK–5 school building. The energy throughout the building has been electric as our staff has been preparing classrooms, collaborating together, and getting everything ready for an incredible year ahead.

It was such a joy to welcome so many of our students and families back into the building during Orientation Conferences on Wednesday. Seeing smiling faces, meeting new families, and reconnecting with returning students reminded us what makes LCES such a special place. We are so excited to begin this new journey together!

First Week of School

The first days of school are always exciting and with our new PK-5 school, they’ll be even more special! Please review:

– Drop-off and pick-up map

– Thursday Independence Day & Chalk the Walk celebration

    – Our Independence Day event is designed to help students build confidence and independence as they begin the school year. We know saying goodbye can be hard, but encouraging students to walk confidently into school on their own helps create positive routines, supports independence, and allows us to maximize valuable instructional time for all students.

As we welcome more students than ever before, we kindly ask for your patience and grace during arrival and dismissal, especially during the first couple of weeks. We anticipate dismissal may take a little longer as students, families, and staff learn new routines and traffic patterns. We appreciate your understanding as we work together to ensure every child gets home safely.

Come Have Lunch With Your Student!

We would love to welcome you into our school for lunch! Sharing a meal with your child is a wonderful way to see our new building, connect with your student during the day, and experience our school community.

Please review the LCES Lunch Visitor Flyer for important visitor expectations, and be sure to sign in at the front office when you arrive. We can’t wait to have you join us!

Lunch Schedule (Kindergarten–5th Grade):

– Kindergarten: 10:35–11:00 a.m.

– 1st Grade: 10:55–11:20 a.m.

– 2nd Grade: 11:35–12:00 a.m.

– 3rd Grade: 11:40 a.m.–12:05 p.m.

– 4th Grade: 12:05 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

– 5th Grade: 12:40–1:05 p.m.

Thank you for partnering with us as we begin what promises to be an amazing school year. We look forward to building strong relationships, celebrating student successes, and creating wonderful memories together. Here’s to an incredible first day and a fantastic year ahead!

The Center Specifics

Dear Preschool Families,

Wow!  Summer went fast and a brand new year starts Monday!  We are excited to welcome your child to school.  Our classrooms and teachers are ready and waiting.

We sent home a few important flyers in your child’s yellow folder at our recent classroom orientations.  Please take a moment to look over that information this weekend.

A couple of notes for Monday.  You may drop off and pick up for preschool through the PreK entrance.  Use the electric door bell if you are here for AM extended hours drop off to let us know you are here.  Doors for preschool will open by staff at 9:00.  All entry and exit must occur through the main doors, we ask that families not exit outside or back doors for safety purposes.

Remember to bring your child’s yellow folder back to school on Monday, we will send it home each Thursday with any new fliers or information.

Enjoy your weekend!  See you Monday!
