Dear LCHS Families,
We had a great week here at LCHS. The building felt focused and positive. It was good to see students engaged in learning.
On Monday, district and building leadership spent time in classrooms doing walk-throughs. From our fall classroom visits, we saw strong progress across the school. This week’s visits reflected continued positive momentum. While these visits are just a snapshot, the building felt calm and focused, hallways were clear, and cell phones were not a distraction. These conditions help create space for learning.
During the visits, we saw students actively participating in lessons through reading, writing, discussion, and problem-solving. In many classrooms, students were asked to explain their thinking and engage with one another academically, while teachers checked for understanding and kept lessons moving with purpose. Classrooms reflected positive relationships and clear routines that supported learning.
Overall, we are encouraged by the direction our classrooms are moving and look forward to continuing this work with our students and staff.

Sports Report
HS girls’ basketball picked up a 2nd league win against Arvada on Saturday. MS girls’ basketball were victorious over St Clare at both the 7th and 8th grade levels.
Senior night for basketball and skiing will be on Friday, January 23 between the varsity girls and varsity boys’ games, approximately 5:15 pm.
