Beauty and the Beast will be coming this November to LCHS!
Lake County High School’s Performing Arts Department is happy to announce their production of the Classic Broadway Musical Disney’s Beauty and the Beast under the support of People’s Bank as the Title Sponsor, REMAX Aspen Leaf Realty as a supporting sponsor and housing donor, Independence Realty as a Supporting Sponsor and Beverly Gunderman and The Elks as Contributing Sponsors. Under the Direction of Artistic Director Scott Carroll, performances will take place November 6-14 in the beautiful Lake County High School Auditorium.
We invite you to step into the enchanted world of Broadway’s modern classic, an international sensation that has played to over 35 million people worldwide in 13 countries. Based on the Academy-Award winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice including the Grammy Award winning title song, “Beauty and the Beast.” The original Broadway production ran for over 13 years and was nominated for 9 TONY Awards including Best Musical.
The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. However, time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
Jessica Jardee (Belle), Grey Finnell (The Beast), and Tanner Herron (Gaston) head the stunning cast of 31. The rest of the principal cast includes Makala Schnablegger, Elizabeth Smeltzer, Destiny Mascarenas, Alex Kinnel, Elizabeth Camp, Annemarie Duel, Jordan Sanchez, Jude Hill and Noah Miller.
The singing and dancing ensemble includes Maria de Lira, Jaycee Windorski, Bailey Sprague, Alex Guzman, Luis Castillo, Hayley Webster, Adarrah Neal, Breanna Sandoval, Maddison Riquetti, Michaela Sanchez, Kate Luna, Tayler Galloway, Cassidy Cecil, Kaitlyn Sprague, Violet Hill, Keira King, Clara Kirr, Brittnie Sandoval, and Samantha Smeltzer.
Scott Carroll who will serve as the Stage Director, heads the production and design team of 18. Donna Schaefer will serve as the Musical Director, Jon Cole will serve as the Associate Musical Director, Aislyn Marshall will serve as the Assistant Director/Production Stage Manager and Melissa Hill will serve as the Volunteer Coordinator. Makinsey Harmon, Ben Wells, and Sarah Wells will teach choreography and stunts. The design team includes Todd Howe, Colin McFee, Erin Farrow, and Jill Smith. Costumes will be rented from a professional costume designer in Florida who sends costumes to many professional theatres across the country.
