Cody Jump’s high school government classes participated in the We The People Congressional Hearing this week in Buena Vista against students from two other school districts. Each group of three students researched various challenging questions, which they then presented to a panel of judges. After the presentation, was an unscripted question and answer time by the judges to query the students’ learning even further. Responses needed to demonstrate reasoning, responsiveness, constitutional application, historical accuracy, and full-group participation. The judges all remarked about the exceptional job our students did in presenting themselves as well-spoken, academic, and talented young adults! Great work, Mr. Jump and students!! |
