Superintendent Search Update-March 3rd

Many thanks to our community, teachers, district staff, and administrative teams for their time and energy this weekend as we brought in a finalist for the position of superintendent. As you may know, our recent search resulted in a single finalist who, while talented and passionate, was not the right fit for our district. The school board continues to search for the right leader. 

We are committed to finding a leader with a collaborative and cooperative style, who has experience working with multicultural communities, understands equity, and is committed to education focused on the whole child. We are looking for someone who will meet us where we are and grow with us; who will set a bold and ambitious agenda that respects and builds on our progress to date.

Our search for a new superintendent for Lake County School District continues. The job is now posted online and we will be accepting applications through March 18, 2020 and anticipate conducting interviews in early April. Please share the posting with your family, friends, and professional networks. We are looking for someone to live here and serve our community. 

The board will host opportunities for everyone to meet and provide input on finalists in April.
