School Closed through March 27

Dear LCSD Staff, Families, and Community,

As we head out for Spring Break, I would like to thank you for all of your efforts to keep our students and staff healthy over the past few weeks.  

After thoughtful consideration, LCSD has decided to close schools through March 27 as a precautionary public health measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our schools will be closed from Monday, March 16 – Friday, March 27. All school-related activities and events scheduled during the closure will be canceled.

During the closure, our custodial staff will deep clean and sanitize all schools, facilities and busses. LCSD also has a plan in place to provide school meals at drop-off sites in the community beginning Tuesday, March 24th. More information will be sent out next week.

Knowing that things are changing sometimes by the hour, we are so thankful for your patience as we work through this in an effort to do what is right for all our stakeholders.
