Community Members Needed to Participate in Naming Process
The first survey regarding the naming process for the new Preschool through 2nd grade school building closed last Thursday afternoon. On Friday morning, committee volunteers were selected on a Facebook Live event. Three employee volunteers were picked, as well as three parent volunteers. However, we are waiting to convene the committee until we have three patron representatives. At our last Board meeting, it came out as a priority that patron representatives are people who are not affiliated with the schools as parents or employees. None of our volunteers matched that description. We will be asking for patron volunteers, will select three of them at random, and then will be able to convene our committee.
If you are a community patron, and would like to volunteer to be on the naming committee, we’d LOVE your participation! Please submit your name to Paul Anderson at email@example.com by Friday morning at 9am on 10/29. We will pick three patron volunteers and then move forward.
Once we have a committee that better reflects the policy process, we will convene the committee to look at the survey data regarding naming criteria and priorities, and the committee will determine the next steps. We are so excited about our new school and so grateful to the community for their support!
