On Saturday, the Lady Panthers participated in the D’Evelyn Premiere Volleyball Tournament. They opened with a 2-0 win against STEM School Highlands Ranch, a team ranked 3rd in the 3A rankings. Then they lost to a 4-0 Gunnison squad in 2 sets. The Panthers rallied against the home team D’Evelyn, winning in 2 sets. In the final match of their bracket, the Lady Panthers faced Vail Christian, a team they lost to in a head-to-head match-up on August 30. Although Vail Christian won the first set 19-25, Lake County took the next 2 sets 25-22 and 15-10 to claim victory. That final win earned them 2nd place in the tournament.
