Future Physicians? Fifth Graders Work on Body Systems
Our 5th grade science students, with the support of their teacher, Alison Seifert, are producing high quality work in their craftsmanship of human body systems. The students are exploring the major systems of the body through the lens of juvenile diseases with an ultimate goal of educating fellow students and the community about diseases and disease prevention. The students have carefully and patiently crafted accurate drawings of body systems and body parts. Principal Stephanie Gallegos says about a recent visit to this classroom, “They not only said the basics about the human body but they were able to articulate the functions of major body systems and how they are connected to each other. The academic vocabulary they used in their responses made me feel like we may have some future physicians sitting among us and I would confidently have them work on my heart if ever need be.” Check out these photos of their work!
