Hello LCIS Families,

Thank you for joining us at our final community meeting last week. We were so proud to share that 72% of our students met their projected growth goal for Reading and 68% met it for Math on the NWEA MAPs. It was impressive to see so many students recognized for these achievements.

Before the end of the school year we will be collecting all student Chromebooks so that they can be serviced over the summer.

We’re less than two weeks away from our annual Celebration of Learning on Wednesday, June 10th from 6:00-7:15. Mark your calendars and please join us for this special event!

Congratulations to Jexsely Carmenza Davila for winning the Awesome Attendance Award! Thanks for coming to school every day, Jexsely!

Homework- IXL:

Students will continue to have access to their Chromebooks for the next couple of weeks and can continue to use them to complete their online homework, IXL. We will be collecting all student Chromebooks before the end of the school year.

Access Testing

Parents- if your child took the Access test for English Learners this year, ask to see their scores! They brought an envelope with scores home on Thursday.

Padres: si su hijo tomó este año el examen ACCESS para estudiantes de inglés, ¡pidan ver sus puntuaciones! El jueves llevaron a casa un sobre con los resultados.

Communications:

Elevated Community Health is launching a School Based Health Center (SBHC) Sticker Design Contest, inviting students to creatively represent themes of wellness, kindness, support, and what the SBHC means to them. This contest is designed to elevate student voice, creativity, and connection to school-based health services in a fun and meaningful way.

The contest will run through the end of June, so we are especially hoping to share it with students before they leave for summer break. Participation is open to all students in Lake County School District (yes, even the littles in Kindergarten and Elementary school). Selected designs may be turned into official SBHC stickers for use in the following school year, giving students the opportunity to see their artwork featured across their school community.
