Internet Challenge

Hello LCSD Families, 

We are reaching out today in regards to an internet “Challenge” that is circulating in our community and we need your help in communicating the dangers of participating in this potentially harmful internet challenge. 

The challenge is a “one chip challenge” where students are asked to eat a chip called Paqui (see photo below along with warnings on their labels). 

These chips have caused some Lake County School District students to react and become ill, some requiring medical attention. Students in other school districts have required hospitalization as a result of participating in this challenge.

You can help us protect your student(s) by requesting that they not eat anything given to them by another person and anything that they have not brought from your home. In addition, please ensure your student does not bring these chips or other similar items to school.
