Congratulations to our award-winning LCHS student artists!
This fall, LCHS art teacher Erin Farrow entered some student artwork into the CMC Common Reader Art Contest. Students and community members from all across Colorado’s mountain region enter this art contest. The theme was: “The Wild West: Creating a balance in development, conservation and ethics.” Out of all the students and adults who enter, there are three winners. And two of them were our very own LCHS students! Jessica Jardee (top, grade 11) won 2nd place with her piece, “Conversations Between Worlds”. The prize for 2nd place is $150. Amber Aguilera (bottom, grade 8) won 3rd place with her piece, “Free.” The prize for 3rd place is $100. Congratulations, Jessica and Amber!
