National Signing Day at LCHS
Athletic Director, Amy Peters, hosted three Senior Athletes on Nov. 8th for National Signing Day at Lake County High School.

Volleyball star Jaycee Windorski, who was the state leader in kills this season with a total of 548, has decided to take her skills to Colorado Mesa University next year. Colorado Mesa is currently ranked 11th in the nation for NCAA Division II schools.

Rose Horning, a national champion in Nordic skiing last winter, is breaking from family trends and has signed with the University of Vermont. Rose’s mother is a Dartmouth Nordic alumnus and her older sister Adele is currently skiing for Dartmouth, but drawn by the close knit and talented Vermont team, Rose is choosing her own path.

Last year’s state champion in the 1600-meter run, Keira King has been recruited by multiple colleges in at least 3 states. Although initially drawn to Western State, she has committed to Adams State University because they offer her degree program of choice.

We are so proud of these talented young ladies and look forward to following their accomplishments in college!
