Teachers who are assigned to duties which require extra responsibilities over and above their contractual obligations shall receive extra compensation in accordance with the negotiated agreement, job description or salary schedule. Most stipends shall be paid on an annual or seasonal basis, although certain assignments performed at irregular or infrequent intervals may be paid at an hourly rate.
Certified staff members who hold any extra-compensation positions shall be appointed by the superintendent or their designee. Appointees shall be issued an agreement for the terms of the extra employment, stating their particular assignment, its duration and the compensation to be paid.
